About Me

Tech-savvy educator, writer and lecturer.

I believe in combining modern technology with lessons learned from the past. I am an entertaining public speaker and have given lectures on Romans on Film; Humor, Ancient to Modern; and Why Plato Would Love 'What Not To Wear'. I have created multimedia web content, managed classrooms and projects, and published on a variety of topics.

I strongly believe that an understanding of history promotes media literacy in the modern world, but I also believe that higher education has lost focus on how it can contribute to learning for "real life." This is why I left academia, and started my blog, Worst Professor Ever.

I currently transitioning into IT, where I can use my existing communications skills while learning more about software development. I am also available to speak on a variety of historical topics.
