Wendy is a second-year Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, West Africa. Her primary role is a small enterprise developer. However, aside from providing business seminar and advices, she is the coordinator of the Books For Cameroon project, which aims to create 30 libraries in Cameroon.
Wendy graduated from the John Cooks School of Business at Saint Louis University in 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with concentrations in finance and economics. She plans to pursue a masters degree in international relations/public policy with emphasis on economics.
Wendy's language skills include native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, Fluent English and advanced French.
• Coordinating the Books For Cameroon project to 30 libraries across various regions of Cameroon
• Advise micro-crdit organizations on effective internal operation
• Providing business consulting to local entrepreneurs and promoting the use of micro-credit
• Educating local communities in the areas of business management, life skills, and AIDS/HIV awareness
Magna Cum Laude
Completed 300 hours of community service, 15 credit hours of humanity coursework and 24 leadership workshops as a Service Leader.
Managed $1 million of the University endownment in the Applied Portfolio Management course.
