About Me
I'm Vince Scordo and I run Scordo.com. I've been told Scordo means both garlic and forgetful and I have both a poor short term memory and a love for garlic, so the name must be appropriate.
My blog focuses on practical life tips, saving money, and how-to (with the occasional food and recipe entry). Being a first generation Italian-American and the son of immigrant parents, I have "being practical" in my blood, so I created Scordo.com to share my life experiences surrounding managing money, a home, and a life! I'm not a professional money manager, regular on This Old House, or a trained psychotherapist, rather just a regular guy who writes about what he observes. I take debt and savings very seriously and outside a mortgage our family carries no outstanding debt. Saving money and living a frugal life does not require a degree in brain science, but it does require discipline, being practical, and not following others.
