About Me

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is an independent agency that provides economic, development and humanitarian assistance around the world in support of the foreign policy goals of the United States.

We are looking for people to fill a variety of Foreign Service positions overseas (for both career and limited term appointments), Civil Service positions in Washington DC, and interns. A background in development is not required for all positions; we are building a workforce rich in diversity and technical fields, with strong analytical capabilities. Currently our most urgent hiring needs are for positions in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Our minimum requirements for these positions are a master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience working overseas, or a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of work experience.
