I am a freelance writer and sometime stage actor living in Frederick County, Maryland. I have skills and experience in various types of writing, from hard journalism, to reviews, to editorials and blogging. (I have two blogs.) Even some published poetry in a time gone by. But by far I prefer human interest writing. News mixed with personal observation and impressions. This is the sort of work I seek out the most in 2011.
I am also working on a novel, and an overall expansion into fiction writing.
In the end, I am a story teller. Whether through the fiction I am creating, or the features I have put together for magazines and websites, or the opinions I am expressing on issues, I enjoy taking the facts and bundling them into a story which speaks to as many people as possible, in a language that is as simple as it needs to be, but not simpler.
Writing a bi-monthly column, of about one typed page in length, offering advice and opinions for the stage actor. I draw upon my ten years experiences on the stage, and my education in same in college. I choose topics, write them, and make requested revisions as needed, on a deadline.

So involved in theatre was I, that I very nearly minored in it by accident. I was told if I took one more class in it my final semester, I'd have the minor. If I took 4 more, I'd have myself another major. But I opted not to stay an extra year, and went with just the minor.
General studies and gathering of credit during this intermediate stage in my education.
