About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Florida with a BS in Agricultural Education and Communication. I have experience in nonprofit development and extension education with skills in web development. Currently, I'm looking for a career in the nonprofit sector and also planning to start my own nonprofit organization.

  • Project Consultant
  • October 2009 to January 2010
  • Successful implementation of “Affordable Micro-irrigation for Vegetables in Western Africa” project. Responsible for workshop planning, internet research, data analysis with Excel and SPSS, developing an annotated bibliography and project webpage, and assisting the project manager.

  • Assisted in development projects for an international nonprofit agricultural research organization. Involved in project development and international development for Global Technology Dissemination, Socioeconomics, Crop and Ecosystem Management and Nutrition units. Obtained international work experience and learned about vegetable research.

  • Supervised 4 office staff and 14 independent contractors. Responsible for daily appliance deliveries to residential and business customers. Created routing schedules using Citrix software and assisted in customer service. Involved in successful start up operations in a new territory. Improved decision-making and leadership skills.

  • Program Assistant
  • May 2003 to April 2004
  • Grant position working for Pinellas County government. Served as an office supervisor, volunteer manager, data analyst, and mentor for non-profit youth program. Assisted youth staff and volunteers in civic engagement and community activities. Improved youth development skills and learned about the local county government.
