I'm almost ready to launch my first e-book and would love some feedback from the group. The book is called "7 Ways to Makeover Your Career." Anyone interested let me know and I will send you a link to the download. It's going to be a free give away to subscribers to my newsletter.

I really recommend John Kremer's 1001 Ways to Promote Your Book also - if you are serious about writing one, it's a 600pg. gold mine 124 weeks ago

I'm really excited to have you as part of our group. For all of you that don't already know, Monica is a published author herself. Her new book, Social Pollination was recently released, and is getting great reviews. My issue with social media is authentic engagement... what practices have you used to get your community authentically and sustainably engaged with your business? As well, how do you encourage the community to engage and learn from each other?

Interactive content includes stuff like polls, short answers, contest entries - basically anything that has to do with asking interesting questions and voting. You will also get more people participating when you make it really easy to respond and interact. The more often people participate, the more likely they are to stay engaged. 127 weeks ago

As a total newbie to book publishing... where does one get started? What's the first step?
Tara Joyce: @RobertSofia, this is so helpful, thank you! May I ask... is there any 'magic number' of readers that makes a blog seem established to publishers? ...More@RobertSofia, this is so helpful, thank you! Part of me wonders if I should continue to practice my writing for a bit longer (on the blog) before I attempt to seek publication... any thoughts on this? 127 weeks ago

What I do know is that when I sent in my book proposal, it was one of the questions the publisher came back and asked me. My agent told me that publishers generally don't like to issue new contracts unless they feel confident they can sell at least 10,000 copies. Of course, all of those sales wont come from readers of your blog - but it helps. 127 weeks ago
