Dan Schawbel I've spoken to a lot of people outside the Brazen network about personal branding, leading up to the launch of the 2nd edition of Me 2.0: 4 Steps to Building Your Future (which comes out today). I wanted to survey the Brazen community to see what your biggest fears are concerning personal branding? Are you afraid that you will lose your own identity or that you will get criticized? Please comment here and we can have a conversation about it!

Does providing a consistently genuine personal experience whether in professional or personal situations organically create a reputation that speaks to your qualities which I believe sells you a much larger audience. Sylvie Laitre I run www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com and most of our hotels have had to both cut hours and let people go over the last 6 months. The travel industry is certainly going through major changes right now. On the plus side, most have only kept their good people and were able to even hire other good people that were foolishly let go by other companies. No matter how bad things get, there's always a silver lining—as faint as it may be.

I think the site has a lot of good information. However, I would challenge you to think if your hotel is targeting business people or leisure people. I think you're targeting leisure, if that's the case, play up photo and not so much text. You want people to want to take the vacation you are showing, completed with staying at your wonderful hotels.
