@Stephen: Just hope that the Americans don't get upset by a team Finland or what not (I don't even think that would be all that big of an upset) in the tournament rounds. 117 weeks ago

I watched it with 6 or 7 Canadians and 3 of us Americans at a bar in Chicago, which was a great group to watch with. They were sad but admitted that it was a good game in the end.
Miller was amazing and always seemed to barely get in the way. It very much resembled an all-star game, but with actual checking. :)
To be honest though, I haven't watched as much hockey since the strike. I might get back into it after watching this game though. 117 weeks ago

Freelancers and whoever wants to weigh in: What goes into new client solicitation letter? I created a database of local doggie daycares whose clients might like my pet portrait paintings. I want to write a short, friendly note introducing myself and offering more info. I've always gotten my design clients through either word of mouth or Craigslist, etc. This is the first time I'm trying to market a particular product to a group of people. Anyone written a letter like this? Thanks, y'all.

How do you like to be addressed?) I like the quilting idea. Every business needs a unique angle, and she's definitely found hers. Inspiring! I will contact her, if you think that's okay. Excellent advice about the flyers, too. Thanks. 116 weeks ago

As someone just starting a small business (I'm a writer who is starting to do freelancing more seriously), what do you all see as the first 3 steps to establishing your company's existence? At what point does it become "a company" ? ie. website? business phone? when you have a customer?
