the numbers are in and I'm officially at 50.4% return for the investments that I've recommended for clients. And I've annualized 27% since I began in 2008. This is great news, I believe only one mutual fund in the country has a higher return over that time period and I remember when people were saying "you're a college student there's no way you can do that kind of stuff without a degree!!"

Hey guys, I operate a financial planning/consulting firm that's geared toward entrepreneurs and students. We recently decided to do something relatively different than our peers, and open up our Skype handle so that anyone can pop-in and ask random financial or investment questions. While we still charge a small fee for complex (multi-step) questions....simple questions, such as: "what do you think about investing in commodities?", are very welcome. I want to hire (on profit-sharing basis) a programmer to develop an iPhone application(web app to come later) that will use augmented reality to show stock analysis, graphs, and charts. The app will operate like this...the user points the camera, in focus, to a company's logo/insignia. After a little bit of waiting, the app comes up with stock prices, charts, financial history, and recent news concerning that company. Ambitious? Very. Feasible? Not with my income level. Take it and run with it.
