Brazen Careerist is where I go to engage in conversation surrounding professional development topics.
I keep my Linkedin profile as a static example of my resume at any given point in time. I don't use it regularly.
My Facebook page is for keeping in personal touch with friends and family.
Twitter is where I make a lot of new connections and find/distribute content and ideas.

Stephanie Chaptal Dugué What do you think of tools mixing all networks status, as the one which turns your tweets automatically in your Facebook status ?

Trace Cohen: I like to keep them separate and do them manually so that it is more personal.

I sometimes hate to see RT'd messages on Facebook or #[insert trending topic here] because it's a totally different medium and it doesn't apply. If you do use this method, be sure to log into both from time to time to have a more personal touch (in my opinion).

: ... How do you communicate "poker hand" facts where the relative probabilities of possibilities are more relevant than unavailable "truth"?

Stephanie Chaptal Dugué: Simply by stating the "possibilities" and the "preponderance of evidence", and let my audience do the maths.

Asking journalism to not be biased is also shooting itself in the foot. We value bias towards: timeliness, proximity, impact, conflict, etc.

143 weeks ago from Journalism and Journalists

Caitlin Fitzsimmons: There are MANY viewpoints. Not all are valid.
Stephanie Chaptal Dugué: Sure journalists are biased as anyone. The least they can do is to be honest about it, and never give opinions without fact supporting it.
