FUNDRAISING/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Chairperson, Young Professionals Committee, Project Morry (formerly Morry’s Camp)
Project Morry is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit; mission focuses on year-round youth development anchored by a residential summer camp with an educational concentration.
Since its inception in 1996, 100% of the participants who have completed the educational component have graduated high school on time (national average is less than 50%); 100% go on to pursue higher education, military service, or join the work force.
During the last 6 years, this committtee has raised more than $60k through our annual fundraiser. The committee has grown from 8 to 20 people. In this past year alone, we have raised over $14k, added 4 new committee members, and trained more than 20 new coaches.
