After making it through my first lay off I become a part of the team at Health Advocacy Strategies, a Health care communications firm where I work with large pharmaceutical and biotech companies to raise disease awareness by utilizing real life advocates. On a daily basis I work to turn advocates passion into action to advance human health.

I began my career at Doyle Dane and Bernbach’s (DDB) Issues and Advocacy Department, where I worked with a biotech company and an array of local and national cancer advocates. While at DDB, I worked in the Issues and Advocacy Department on advising clients on how to participate in the social media sphere. Social media has become an important in the advocate community, as advocates continually begin to occupy this space, and work to expand their reach
