About Me

Hi! I’m Sejal Patel (pronounced ‘say-gel’) and I joined Intel in 2008 as a part of the Staffing Marketing and Channels group. We help connect candidates with Intel and Intel with candidates using channels such as the Jobs at Intel web site, the Life at Intel microsite, the @JobsatIntel Twitter account, the Jobs@Intel blog and the Discover Intel Facebook Fan Page. I offer a unique Gen Y perspective on available social media initiatives and tools and how and if they should be used for recruitment. Prior to Intel, I worked in corporate communications with Caterpillar; HR at a General Mills manufacturing facility, and also internationally as a wedding planner.

Originally from Toronto, Ontario (yes, I’m a real, breathing Canadian!), I graduated from the cornfields at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Communications. Soon after graduating, I made the trek over to Portland, OR to join Intel and love it here so far! Outside of work, I am a self-proclaimed Facebook addict and am slowly, but surely, finding myself Twitter-ing more and more as the days go by (Did I mention you can follow us on Twitter?). I love to dance, meet new people, try new things (especially food!), and spend time with family and friends.
