Especially in a teamwork environment, you can not ignore them or team them harshly. This will go against the team concept your company is trying to create. I suggest you get to know them a bit better and find out what makes them tick or what are their interests. You may be surprised that they are not as bad as you previously thought and just may have something valuable to contribute to the company, your department and you.
