I will be re-locating my family to the Denver, CO area after 17 years in law enforcement in Tennessee. I am set to graduate from East Tennessee State University in the Summer 2012 with a Master's degree in Sport Management (Kinesiology) with an emphasis in facility/event management. I also possess a B.S. in Organizational Management (Business) from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN.
Over the past few years, I have been fortunate enough to combine my two professional loves: athletics and law enforcement. While performing my duties as a police officer, I have assisted in the delegation of duties at D-1 basketball games, assisted in the planning and execution of an exhibition NBA game, and acted as the law enforcement liaison between the university police and the New Orleans Hornets. I have also had the privilege of being involved in events featuring guests and artists such as Al Gore, Carrie Underwood, Gabriel Iglesias, Spike Lee, and Maroon 5. As part of my internship duties for graduate school, I am currently assisting the athletic facility director on the campus of ETSU plan, schedule, and budget various events.
I look forward to applying the many skills I have learned over the past 17 years towards a new career in the Greater Denver area. I have experience in planning, coordinating, and supervising events and possess organizational, communicaton, and managerial skills. I also have previous experience in training, investigations, scheduling, hiring, and budgets.
