o Analyze complex commercial contracts and advise regarding potential contract disputes and litigation strategies regarding the interpretation of various contract provisions and parties' positions
o Draft and supervise drafting of trial and appellate court briefs, engage in discovery, locate and liaise with amicus curiae
o Select, prepare, interview, and depose fact and expert witnesses; assist experts in drafting reports
o Develop litigation strategy with clients, draft trial plans, and witness trial outlines
o Advise clients regarding contract interpretation questions to avoid potential disputes

- Responsibilities included:
o Co-first chaired $250MM+, 4 month class action trial with 15 live witnesses and over 550 exhibits; ground-breaking verdict for clients
-- Gave opening and closing statements, direct and cross-examined 6 fact and expert witnesses, argued motions
o Argued motions, drafted trial and appellate court briefs and pleadings, engage in all facets of discovery
o Took and defended fact and expert witness depositions
- Representative matters include:
o Represented class of 20,000 claimants in state court class action valued at $100MM+
o Represented mass tort defendant in multi-forum action, resulting in settlements of nearly $300MM
o Represented mass tort defendant in 3 judge commercial arbitration valued at $1BN+
o Represented online services provider in federal trial and appellate court action valued at approximately $12MM+
- Provided legal counsel and business development support to online portal
- Responsibilities included:
o Managing outside counsel
o Drafting contracts and other documents, including privacy policy, terms of service, non-disclosure agreement
o Counseling business development team on privacy, intellectual property, and online message board issues
o Researching potential litigation issues and counseling business team regarding recommended courses of action
- Litigated complex commercial and government contract disputes and business torts
- Responsibilities included:
o Actively participating in several arbitrations and hearings, including acting as second chair in commercial arbitration
