Trial by fire Employee Relations Manager, reposible for designing and administering comp and benefit plans and employee relations for the very talented 380 employees of our company. Background in management-sided labor relations, union prevention, human relations audits, and employment law. In the past year have created new medical and dental plans, converted a 401(k) plan, implemented new HRIS platform, managed revision of post-retirement medical plan, completely restructured our compensation plan, prepared for integrating a target acquisition, and implemented executive communication plans for all employees.
Enter and maintain employee information in HR/Accounting database; create reports from database; orient and in-process new employees; coordinate new hire orientation and other on-site training; coordinate off-site training for employees; conduct training (both one-on-one and classroom style) for employees; maintain and administer employee benefits, including medical coverage, 401(k), and retirement and security programs; explain policy and procedures to employees, supervisors, and managers; assist supervisors and managers with employee problems and questions; coordinate company-sponsored blood drives; maintain job postings and reportable data for company affirmative action plan; represent company at job fairs; and assist in all other Human Resources functions with Vice President of Human Resources.
