About Me

Emerging Information Professional with interest in information management and knowledge management in international development organizations. Currently working at the Region of Waterloo in their Information Management department, learning about the problems associated with implementing and maintaining document management systems. While my interest lies primarily in the concepts of knowledge management, working in information management has taught me about the variety of issues, problems, and barriers to successful knowledge management.

Long term I would love to work for a smaller non-profit in an information management capacity, and use that role to promote and champion knowledge management activities.

• Researched possible knowledge management initiatives for Oxfam Canada. Created a taxonomy for their shared drive. Helped clarify CIDA knowledge management requirements.
