About Me

My name is Ryan Woodham and I love solving problems. In software there are millions of ways to solve a problem and so the true challenge to problem solving is minimizing the time invested while maximizing the features, usability of the software, and re-usability of the source code itself.

I am a lead software developer with a diverse background and a desire to learn new things. I am a location independent professional currently living in Uruguay but about to move back to Bozeman, Montana to return to friends and family.

I'm currently standing in awe of how Gen-Y is shaping the professional landscape and looking for ways to be a part of that change by using my skills as a desktop and web application developer.

• I am the owner and only developer providing software development services (mostly web-related) for U.S. based clients.

  Projects have recently included:

  * A software licensing webservice server and client code. Interfaces to Google Checkout.

  * Additional features to a news publishing CMS in both C# and JavaScript with a lot of AJAX.

  * An MP3 organizer and ID3 Tag Reader/Repairer. Complex pattern matching algorithm with a SQL Server 2008 back-end.

  * Windows Phone 7 (Silverlight) app for streaming and voting on music.

  Primarily developing in ASP.NET C# (Web Forms and MVC3) and SQL Server with a heavy use of JavaScript.

• Self-directed software development from concept and requirements gathering to technical support. Project managed two projects with successful releases. Frequently interfaced with customers to define their requirements as well as understand their problems.

  Primarily developed in C# .NET (Win Forms) with SQL Server. Secondarily developed in C/C++ in embedded firmware.
