blake hall A jobs trends graph similar to this http://bit.ly/c8sUHY hit my inbox last week. You can change the search terms in the URL to compare other keywords. It looks like it's a good time to be a drupal developer.

Ryan Healy What do you guys think, should Foursquare sell now to Yahoo for $100 million + or try to change the world alone with some VC backing? I vote sell now, Mark Rizzn Hopkins agrees http://bit.ly/9tPk1l, but Mike Arrington and Ben Parr say don't do it. If I really believed in Foursquare I would have to agree with Mike and Ben, but I think there is too much competition and too many big players that can win the game if they want to. Plus I'm just not a big fan of the service. I would take the pay day.

Ryan Schwab: I would sell. You can change the world a lot more with $100 million than with the foursquare app, in my opinion.

Ryan Paugh Finally caught up last night! I've been ignoring you guys because I didn't want any spoilers :) I thought it was a great episode, but what happened to Ilana?! Pretty crazy that she just blew up! I really hope that they give her some more back story. She deserves a little more character development than Doc Arzt.

I had to get a refresher on what the conversation was like and, according to Lostpedia, it was this...

"Moments later, Desmond met Jack Shephard, while training at the same stadium. During their short conversation, Desmond suggested that Jack is running the stadium stairs because of frustration having to do with a woman. Jack confided in Desmond about his patient, Sarah, whom Jack had no hope of fixing. Desmond pointed to the possibility of miracles. Sarah's subsequent unexpected healing suggests that possibly Desmond was right."

This sounds a lot like the conversation he had with Hurley.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that the development has begun and I will be posting some updates here as it's happening. I'll be creating a blog series around the Virtual Volunteer-so those of you who have given permission for me to use your comments with first name only may see yourself in print! The actual keynote and breakouts won't happen until July, but we're going to be posting articles about this topic soon. Thanks again for the comments and please feel free to add more if you think of anything else!

Becki Howard I don't know about anyone else, but I felt like LOST really redeemed itself last night! I LOVED that episode! Brought in some interesting info about the link between the different "worlds" and having Charlie, Daniel & Desmond back together in an episode didn't hurt either.

Ryan Paugh: Interesting! She's definitely embracing Daniel as a musician, which is the opposite of what she did in the original timeline.

I'm in a very similar position. I got my start in web development at a non-profit, and am now trying to leverage that into more freelance work. I think you've got the right idea: start by talking to people you know either personally or professionally, and see what turns up.

Pamela Selle: Thanks Mark for the really helpful comments -- I guess I do have to think like a salesman to start! I really appreciate your encouragement too.
