Erin Lariviere Do you host webinars for customers? If so, what service do you use to host them? So far, I've checked out GoToWebinar and WebEx. Do you have experience using either of these from a presenter's standpoint? Or another service you'd recommend?

Ryan Koechel I'm looking to do a promotion online where a consumer uploads a photo of themselves via their cell phone, enters their name and home address and we get to post their photo on our site, for doing so they will get a free gift from us. Does anyone know any hosted solutions for something like this, or off the shelf software that is capable of this? We want this to be mobile focused and as such don't want to use flash.

TOP IDEA: Tracy Brisson I started reading Academically Adrift, the new book that claims that US universities actually widen the achievement gap because colleges don't teach students critical writing and thinking skills. More here: http://bit.ly/dK4LLs What are your thoughts? Does our current higher education system actually contribute to the structural unemployment problems we're facing in this country?

Rachel Howe I was working as a non paid, intern with a company helping them with their social media. I gave them tips on SEO and tried 2 get them to start a blog-they havent. I was going to come up with topics that they could tweet about and post on Facebook, but that never happened. I come to find out that they got an "MBA consultant" (rolls eyes) 2 do a "social media audit" as well and they shrugged me off w/o contacting me for a month, I had 2. Im kind of offended about the whole thing. What do u think?

Ryan Paugh How much work are you doing between Christmas and New Years? I'll be online every day until New Year's Eve, but I'm probably working at about 50% capacity as I'll also be spending time with family and friends that I haven't had time to see yet.

Stephen Alred I've been wondering and thought I would crowd-source the answer. Why do you think that HP, is still one of the most mediocre performing stock giving it's acquisitions and good-looking financial statements? You would think it would've skyrocketed once it revealed that it was going to release WebOS tablet and phones in 2010.

When two conflicting cultures are still like Compaq and HP are still trying to make it work after all these years, it's inevitable for less-than-ideal products to roll out as a result. It's not just the commoditization of computers and printers at hand here: it's the knowledge that when HP decides to compete in markets where there are clear market leaders, coming out with offerings which are less than ideal from the get-go make an already yawn-inducing organization even more invisible. Buy at your own risk.

Ryan Koechel I'm curious if anyone else was affected by the IE 8 Smartview filter error yesterday? We were along with Visa.com and quite a few other major websites. Read more about it here: http://zd.net/8XEWu9 We had just sent out an email to our customers moments before this bug hit us; now we are figuring out the best way to address it with our customers. Have you experienced anything similar and how did you address it with your users/customers?

Rebecca Thorman I tend to get things done quicker than our President can sign off on them since he has a ton going on. He often wants to ensure he isn't being a roadblock, and we talk strategies to ensure that doesn't happen. Lately, I've noticed he says "Oh, email me that I'll talk with Brian (our CEO) about it" and then never does. But I've noticed if I print out what I need approved, and put it in front of him, he's more likely to remember. What small things like this help you interact w/ your boss?

Also, the shorter the email, the better! I've noticed some managers will get it done if it's a note, but some will just stick it in the pile and it will still never gt done. It all depends on the person's preferred interaction, and sometimes boils down to the medium of communication they get bombarded with the least!
