Ashley Jones P90X has really got me motivated and I enjoy doing a different workout every day. It's supposed to help you lose fat and gain muscle mass. I started at 126lbs. and now, 5 weeks in, I weigh 129lbs. I haven't been eating anymore than I did before. I eat rather healthy overall. Why am I gaining weight?? Any ideas?

There are lots of sites, phone apps, and other tools out there to help you with nutrition. Pick one, get cracking, and see results.

Gaurav Kapil: If overall your volume (body) is trimming then it is muscle gain which I think is most probable answer as already mentioned by Eric.

Kat Argonza Question: How many hours a week do you work out? How many "rest days" do you take?

I do a lot of cardio/strength intervals so the amount of time spent on the workout isn't as important as the intensity. I trust how my body is feeling on a certain day and do what feels right - even if it means sleeping in.

Otherwise, I have quasi-programs that I made and follow that work different parts of the body. I usually lift enough to feel it the next day, but don't really over-do it and end up sore for 3-4 days later. ??

Kat Argonza Barefoot running, anyone ever tried it? I bought the Vibram five finger shoe and I've loved it! I had knee surgery a year ago, and I've been troubled with knee pain (it's all in my head, really) when I run. After training in these shoes, I've noticed my calves developing and no joint pain.

Shoes that are too cushioned and correct for over/under pronation actually make the stabilizer muscles even weaker. Bigger cushioned shoes also allow for poor running technique - this causes over-striding and heel crashing (landing on our heels instead of the ball of the foot).

Dont have to go crazy on buying expensive footwear - just get a pair that has a thin sole (i like Onitsuka's) and focus on stepping under your hip when you jog.

Sid: Planning on purchasing some Vibram FiveFinger KoS's soon. Heard the physical benefits are outstanding!

Jenn Pedde I posted this on Twitter and LinkedIn today - but could be a great discussion here. More Americans are giving up their citizenship after working abroad so long because of tax/banking issues. Would you ever? I lived abroad for a couple years... I can't imagine not staying an American. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/26/us/26expat.html?_r=1

Though then aren't you paying double taxes and such? When I was working abroad, I only paid 3.3% for taxes, and zero back home in NY because I was making under $96,000 a year. I agree with you Ryan - if I was never coming home again AND making over the taxable amount, I'd think about it - but still can't imagine doing it.

Emily Moore Have you seen online training packages (such as the Jedi/Mentoring one through Untemplater?) I always go back an forth on whether or not buying such courses will really improve the quality of my life or help resolve the issues that I have with not living the "untemplater" lifestyle. Am I just too pessimistic?

No offense meant to those at Untemplater or any other similar sites but some sweat and serious reading on your part will get you a similar education. Will it be the same experience? Of course not, but it will probably be free, on your own time, etc.

Alyssa Carter Anyone feel like all they do is work, and work out? I work 8-5 every day, and then typically go to the gym for 2 hours after work. By the time I get home it's usually after 8pm, and then I'm eating dinner right before bed. Sometimes I feel like I'm packing 3 meals with me to work - breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner! Tips on any easily portable, healthy meals?

What really helps me get through the day with enough energy is small meals every two or three hours to keep blood sugar levels steady. My favorite quick meals are oatmeal, Chobani greek yogurt, hard boiled eggs, green tea, and lots of water!

Ryan Knapp I don't have a recipe I follow in writing, it's all in my head. Learned it from my 'family' in small town Spain where I lived. I can attempt to write it out though if you'd like, it's pretty simple.

1)Cube chicken and cut up sausage into small piece (I don't take off the casing, but its up to you)
2) Put oil into large pan and fry chicken/sausage together until cooked.
3) Take out of pan and place on a platter
4) Chop vegetables and toss into pan. Cook veggies until brown (usually just a few min)

5) Put chicken&sausage back into the pan with the veggies.
6) Put in both boxes of rice
7) Pour in chicken broth so it covers entirely over veggies/meat.
8) Cover with a lid and let simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes. After 10 min check to see if the rice is soft, if not add in more stock (don't add in water!).
9) Once the rice is cooked through, take off heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
10) Cut lemon in half and squeeze lemon on top. Chop parsley and do the same.
11) Enjoy!
