About Me

As the former managing editor of a number of print and online publications, Rose Flores Medlock's embarrassing love of lists and spreadsheets served her well while she juggled contracts and freelance assignments. Most notably, Medlock has edited two books, produced a literary magazine, worked in public relations, and tried her hand at radio.

Today, she nurtures her passion for ice hockey, continues to write for Orange Coast (www.orangecoast.com), and is finally making progress on her blogging and book projects. Medlock also dabbles in photography using a Panasonic digital SLR with Leica lens, and freelances for individuals, PR firms, and print and online media.

She is experienced, professional, and reliable, with a proven track record of delivering quality, award-winning copy while managing editorial departments and newsrooms. Specialties include publishing, budgeting, story planning, and departmental and internship program management.
