I am an American expatriate living outside Genoa, Italy while accompanying my husband on a work assignment. With a strong background in nonprofit administration and editing, I am seeking telecommute/remote English-language opportunities. My focus is as follows:

▪Served as key member of executive team, advising and providing managerial and administrative support in fiscal, personnel, operational, legal, and programmatic areas to leadership of $25M, multi-entity operation (shelters, residential summer camps, think tank, senior assisted living) ▪ Supervised six staff members; managed relationship with external technology consultant ▪Liaised between Board of Directors and executive staff ▪Coordinated special projects ▪Monitored monthly revenues and served as point person on new leasing opportunities ▪Assisted sister agency, the Institute for Children and Poverty, with research, writing, editing, marketing, inventory, and sales functions ▪Major accomplishments: After only three months in the position, carried out majority of VP for Management and Budget’s duties during her three-month maternity leave (time period included major upheaval of fiscal department) ▪ Co-authored Mango’s Quest(2008), a children’s book about family homelessness

(2004) by Douglas Brenner and Nancy Stahl: co-edited with supervisor; Islands Gallery Calendar for 2006: edited and compiled; Horoscopes Page-A-Day® Calendar for 2005 and 2006: co-edited ▪Conducted fact-checking, proofreading, and formatting and provided administrative support on such titles as the What to Expect ® series by Heidi Murkoff; Rhinoceros Tap and other titles by Sandra Boynton; Indoor Grilling and BBQ USA by Steven Raichlen; Cake Mix Doctor series by Anne Byrn; aided with market research for editors’ sales conference presentations; brainstormed and developed new projects in tandem with editorial team; reported on manuscripts and wrote letters of rejection.
