Rob Frappier How long is too long for a company to retain information about its users? Dave Thompson, the Chief Privacy Officer of my company, ReputationDefender, explored this question in a thoughtful blog post recently. http://www.reputationdefenderblog.com/2010/01/22/why-forgetting-data-mat... Considering how important data mining is to the social networking business model, I'd love to hear what you guys have to say about the issues of data retention and personal privacy.

Having so much data, as I've personally seen in my professional experience, makes it hard to offer real value at the end of the day. Sure, you won't miss anything that's said or done on the web, but the insightful analytics you can do on such a wide data set are hacked at best.

Focusing on camera angles and film styles reminds me of things to look for when I actually see the movie for myself.

Kerry McKeever What do you think is the best method of presenting the idea of working your position remotely to your boss when you know very well that you can maintain just as much -- if not more -- productivity at home as you can in the office?

PowerPoint, or Flash it and get the facts to back it up in the presentation in the most professional way. Back it up w/ media clips of other cos that work this way + feel it improves the bottom line.

Rob Frappier Just wanted to give you a guys a heads up about a pretty kick-ass movie website, Screen Rant (http://screenrant.com). All right, I'll be honest, I'm a part-time writer for the website, but that doesn't make it any less awesome. We mostly cover genre news like comic book movies, sci-fi, action, etc. Check us out on Twitter too, @ScreenRant (http://twitter.com/screenrant).
