About Me

I've grown up with the Information Technology industry. This gives me an unusual perspective on the industry. Like some others, my career has undergone many transformations. I've worked in most areas of technology support, including management. In several industries, Insurance, Banking, Higher Education, Medicare/Medicaid, Retail, even Software Vendors.

My well rounded education gives me the experience and perspective to help a delivery organization improve.

• Worked with team at Navy Federal Credit Union to plan a redesign of their online presence. Determined the initial scope and developed an approach for a high level view of requirements, then diving down into specifications and delivery of a sequence of projects to deliver business value. The approach combines the best of waterfall - top down business requirements with an agile delivery approach.

• Delivered business value by managing projects to:
  - Ensure PCI (Public Credit Information) compliance. Assess and mitigate risks for the POS platform, network, data/reporting and store operations. A $2 M + program with potential cost avoidance of $150,000 per store and avoiding loss of good will.
  - Selected a new help desk vendor for Dunkin' Donuts store operations
  - Selected and deployed Video Protection Services
  - Moved Business Intelligence to new platform, Sun/Oracle/Informatica/OBIEE

• September 1996 to December 2007

• Manage Enterprise wide Programs and Projects. Significant role as a change agent.
  - First Project Manager, helped found the PMO.
  - First Enterprise Data Architect.
  - Delivered Enterprise Analysis, an integrated systems model to facilitate a major merger and the resulting system set.
  - Implemented first enterprise wide data warehouse and managed overhaul of financial, management, actuarial, regulatory and operational reporting.
  - Managed program to repurpose insurance operations systems to support reciprocals processing.
  - Established configuration management department
  - Delivered first fully integrated Business and IT Strategy in 2001
