I am the execution-driven development manager at Brazen Careerist. Basically, my work involves balancing whatever the company and community see, hear, dream up, or sell and make it a reality though Brazen Careerist's site. Sometimes this means drawing up budgets, schedules, contracts, sometimes it means collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers, sometimes it means diving into code.
I started developing software at 13 years old, and throughout the years have worked for NMR/MRI researchers, cancer-related genetics researchers, a construction manufacturing & engineering company, and finally an online social media company. Making this shift from hardcore scientific development, to more and more business-related institutions has been a great experience... the same way I learned to build great software, I am also working on building great businesses.
Responsible for all Development and Project Management, Advanced Drupal Module Development and Integration, Server Infrastructure, Internal Software Setup, and General Software Support
Built rule-based CAD systems which integrated with JDEdwards, AutoDesk, Alpine Engineering, hsbCAD software as well as GE Fanuc operated assembly lines for home component manufacturing (wall panels, trusses, etc). Created and managed a development team in Ecuador, as well as an internship program. Also developed custom business process & workflow software.
Worked full-time during summers and part-time during the school year for the NMR/MRI department developing imaging software for researchers.
