Ryan Paugh Hey you guys. I'm putting together an official #Brazen Twitter List for members living in the San Francisco slash Bay Area. I've done it for a few of our other high-volume cities and you guys are next. This is a great way to connect w/ other local Brazen peeps, schedule meet ups and all sorts of other stuff. Leave your Twitter ID below as a reply and we will add you to the list.

Ryan Healy Here's a little motivation from Mike Arrington. "There are lots of things that I will probably never experience in this life. Military combat. Being dictator of a small central American country. Dunking a basketball...Or walking on Mars. But one thing I have been, and will always be, is an entrepreneur. And damnit that feels pretty good. Because if I was a lawyer right now I’d always have wondered if I had what it takes to do something more adventurous with my life than work for someone else."

"A man's got to know his liimitations."

And for me and millions of others, enterprenuership is just a quick way to financial disaster, because we don't have that focus, ability and mindset. I'll just keep on earning a good salary, "working for The Man".

And then I came to my senses and stayed true to my creative constant adventurous soul. Unfortunately all my lawyer friends have left this earth and my entrepreneur friends still offer me free advice!

Paul Blackwell Ever wonder why your unread emails keep piling up, or why your Netflix cue is so strangely large? I just came across an article on procrastination that really hit home for me. It's off of a really interesting blog that explains things in a different way than conventional thought: http://bit.ly/d9sCpl check it out!

I think it's true that we all procrastinate, but only those who are aware of their bad habits have a chance to overcome them. Thanks for passing the article along. I have already forwarded it to a whole bunch of my friends, who need to read it carefully:)

The older I get, the faster time flies, and the more I realize how important it is to schedule and impose deadlines for myself. You may be interested in another article ( http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/12/30/procrastination.economics/index.html ) which brings up many of the same points as the article above and more including monetary contracts to fight procrastination.

Paul Blackwell As a new college senior I often find myself looking back and wondering if I would have approached my undergrad education the same if I had another chance. I've found it hard picking a single academic discipline as the type of education that I've received so far. In addition, I feel that I've learned the most important information outside of school. Does anyone else feel this way too?

Find a field in which the people think like you - or don't think like you at all - and then tailor your own intellectual pursuits to fit that field's framework.

Business majors don't all go out and open retail shops, or franchises, or even become entrepreneurs. Teachers don't all go out to teach English or Math or American History. Think of the major as a foundation, a point of reference, and then approach your studies like one of those ancient Greek guys that really appreciated learning for the sake of it.

Paul Blackwell In Dan Pink's book, A Whole New Mind, he talks about how MFAs are the new MBAs. It may have been an exaggeration to make a point toward creative thinking, but I was wondering: what are everyone's plans for graduate education? I personally can't think of a reason/program that would advance my career (or be worth the time and money). What kinds of graduate educations do you think will be important for the future?
