About Me

Patrick Flaherty is the Managing Director of Taighde, a marketplace for research and analysis. He is also a freelance reasearcher specializing in sovereign wealth funds, state-owned enterprises, international finance, and trade. He has authored over thirty reports SWFs and SOEs and is currently writing a book on the era of state capitalism. He is the Chair of the Trade and Finance Discussion group for Young Professionals in Foreign Policy. He is deeply interested in technology and has been involved with multiple open-source projects. He attended university at London Metropolitan University and received a degree in International Relations and Development Studies. He has worked on various election campaigns and on Capitol Hill.
