Hello, it looks like everyone in the network has really valuable feedback. I just finished a dual Masters and most of my experience has been part-time or during the summer. I'm now looking for a job in urban planning, transportation planning, non-profit housing, or other related NPOs. I have a few ideas about how to improve my resume, but would love to hear any and all suggestions. Thanks everyone. Patrick

I don't have any time, but quickly the things the caught my eye were: "technology, awards..." definitely need to be changed! Something like "community involvement" which isn't right but is a start (i.e. the community gave you things (awards) and you gave them volunteerism). But better. You know what I mean, something short and pithy.
I would list your experience entries chronologically by date started rather than date finished. English speakers read from left to right, so it's a bit confusing at first to see entries that don't appear to be in order. It also makes it easier to see how you become more involved, and which projects/jobs overlap.
One last thing that I learned the hard way: you have to fit all of your materials within printer margins. Your PDF is going to lose the top and bottom text if someone forgets to check "fit document to page" when printing. I used to have my contact info in a footer, which looked awesome, but got chopped off on printing. 105 weeks ago

Patrick, I think it would be appealing to put in a very brief summary of what you present on top of your resume. 104 weeks ago
