I am a dedicated and passionate Gen Y bilingual (former international expat) social media, marketing, and public relations strategist. I have lived all over the world and I now call Austin, TX my home. I was selected in 2009 to be in a Wall Street Journal article about young professionals moving to youth magnet cities.
I believe it is my responsibility to give back to my local community, which is why I co-founded the Cultural Unity Committee in New Jersey in 2005. In Austin, I serve on the chapter board for the Girls in Tech and I am an active Alpha Kappa Psi alumnus.
Inspired by a conversation with a colleague about how to navigate the professional world as a young women, I co-founded the Young Women's Roundtable in 2009. Our mission is to provide young professional women with access to businesswomen of influence, meaningful like-minded peer-to-peer conversations, and leadership development opportunities to further their careers in the private sector.
I run my own social media and marketing consulting practice in which I help companies increase their online presence, foster and engage their online community, and grow their brand awareness through multiple social media channels. I am a social media writer and skilled at using Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr and blogging. I also manage email marketing campaigns, conduct market research and analysis, write copy for advertising and sales materials, and execute large and small business and entertainment events.
When I am not working, I enjoy international travel, connecting people, speaking to Gen Y professionals, salsa dancing and cooking gourmet meals.
