I'm entering my third year as a Journalism student at Boston University. I am majoring in Print Journalism and minoring in Women Studies. After college I hope to work in a non-profit organization in order to help the women and children of the world or with a major news organization as an international correspondent.
I am working as an intern at BU Today, where I am gaining experience in my intended field. I previously worked as an intern at the Long Island Press in New York. I hope to intern at a news or non-profit organization this summer (2010).
Work on events calendars and campus news stories. Conduct interviews Boston University students, faculty, staff, and administration. Help BU Today staff members with research and ongoing projects.
Write up press releases and gain experience in working in a news office. Worked on both print and web stories covering a variety of topics. All stories geared towards the Long Island, NY community.
Field phone inquiries, process orders for yearbooks, and other office duties. Developed skills using Microsoft Office programs including: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Rising junior majoring in Print-Editorial Journalism with a minor in Women's Studies.
