The first question people usually ask when they meet someone new is, "so, what do you do?" I do a lot of things. Several earn me money. Many more don't. So I struggle to answer the question.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2004 with a degree in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature I moved back to my hometown of Madison. Since then I've worked as a karate instructor, marketing assistant, phone order processor, office manager, cooking school assistant, massage therapist, program manager, and freelance writer.
I just relocated to Denver, CO and am working for the Mizel Arts and Culture Center. I am also seeking freelance writing positions.
My interests are wide and varied. I love meeting new people and learning what they are passionate about. Given the option, I will almost always choose to be outdoors and/or doing anything that involves music.

I have primarily written feature articles for Wisconsin Woman Magazine, and am looking to expand my portfolio by getting experience with other types of publications.
I ran my own massage practice for the last three years, and plan to get it up and running again once I receive my license in Colorado.
I worked for the Department of Educational Policy Studies as the Assistant to the Chair, Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, and financial administrator for the department.
