Stephen Bandrowsky The Lost finale was fantastic. It didn’t answer all the questions. Instead it focused on the characters we had grown attached to for six years. We learned about their lives, were excited when they triumphed, and saddened when they failed. And the finale continued this. It left us with the idea that these people were important to each other because of the impact they made on each other. It was about the relationships. And that, I believe, was the only true way they could end the series.

TOP IDEA: Sadya Siddiqui Shakespeare & Gen Y: instead of having a TO DO LIST , maybe its time we had a TO BE LIST. my theory is that if i cannot match each item on my to-do list with my to-be list , then something on each list is either redundant or missing. For example: To do list item: send cv to 2 recruiters...corresponds with....To be list item: to be part of a better work environment. To be or not to be that, indeed, is the question- Shakespeare its seems was a personal development guru of his time.

what are your thoughts on reusable take-away coffee cups? Sure, they reduce a lot of waste, but should I limit my consumption further by just taking a regular mug with me to my coffee shop instead of buying another product? I do love the look of these things though: http://www.keepcup.com.au/ what are your thoughts?

Looked at keep cup and it looks good. Having said that I already have a thermal cup for carrying my coffee around. Mum got it for me :)

But more importantly, it's a shame that we haven't evolved into a society that is responsible enough to carry our mugs around with us. Unfortunately we are a very long way away from that

There are a few people at the campus where I'm writing my thesis doing this, and also a couple in my office! I guess I'm torn between a nice looking product geared at environmentally semi-conscious consumers, or the actual idea of reducing consumption.

Hannah Kane It seems like everybody has a blog these days. Makes me feel out of the loop and like I could be missing an opportunity-- but I just don't know what I would blog about! How do you determine what you want to blog about? How do you feel like it helps you both in your career and personally?

Blogging helps me work things out in my head and helps me connect with people who feel as strongly about certain issues. I haven't given much thought to topic selection. It's usually what strikes me. That said I should deliver a caveat - I don't do it to make money or attract a lot of subscribers. I do it because I like to write so take my advice with a grain of salt.

If you have passion for certain topics - professional but also perhaps personal - write about them and it will take you places. If you're doing it for the benefits without the passion, you won't be able to sustain the energy needed to maintain the blog very easily. It's a great way to build a network and your brand, but ultimately you have to be passionate about it!

I for one felt that there were plenty enough of answers, and still a lot of ambiguity left for interpretation. Of special interest to me is that the "burden" was effectively passed to Hurley and a Second (Benjamin Linus). That one happenstance says to me that we still could expect a pairing similar to Jacob and the Man in Black. (Can Benjamin ever be a wholly positive force?)

I also parse carefully the query by Eloise Hawking to Desmond Hume, whether he had to take everyone. Is there indeed a great distinction between those who are left "in the world" and who are brought to the church? My reading says no, that those in the church are brought there to an eternal moment of now so that they are part of Jack's moment of eternity. I read further that not all the people brought to Jack's gathering had died at the same time as Jack, but that Jack is experiencing a moment that is eternity, and that all others can experience their own moment of eternity that allows them all to share the same experience.

(I hope this makes sense to others, perhaps I need to rewrite for clarity, and to edit more as I write.)

It seems that doctors have been warning about this for centuries.

Voltaire, who drank copious amounts of coffee throughout his life, was once warned that the beverage was a slow poison. "It must be slow," the philosopher replied, "for I have been drinking it for sixty-five years and I am not yet dead."

Smith+Fritzy Wow... this week's episode was snoresville. On the island, it took the entire episode for them to tell us Sayid is going to turn dark or whatever like Claire. Other than that, what happened - really? The Kate parallel story blew chunks... "I know you held me at gun point, but will you come to the door with me?" Sawyer running off and Kate following. Is there a triangle anymore? I can't imagine so. I think if you replaced Evangeline with Rachel Dratch, there wouldn't be as much lady drama.
