As a freelance writer and editor, my specialty is guiding entrepreneurs through the process of building websites and marketing their goods and services.
Telling stories is what I do best. I recently graduated with honors from Amherst College, with a BA in Theater/Dance and English. My thesis production, In Her Place, won the Denis Johnston Playwriting Award. I am currently a playwriting apprentice with Horizon Theatre Company in Atlanta, GA. I spent the summer of 2010 co-teaching a creative writing course to young adults in Nairobi, Kenya, and also studied abroad in Rome, Italy. Other honors include the 19th-Century English Novel Prize and the Roland Wood Fellowship, both awarded by Amherst College.
I would love to hear your story. How can I help you with your business or dream?
According to a former apprentice, "Horizon Theatre's Apprentice Program allows emerging talent to grow and bond in a fast-paced professional atmosphere under the instruction of dedicated masters of their craft." For the 2011-2012 academic year, I will learn playwriting in a collaborative context. I am also working as a sound operator for "Tree" and front-of-house for "Avenue Q." This is a part-time, unpaid apprenticeship, supported in part by an Amherst College fellowship for independent study in the performing arts.
