Hello there! My name is Mukundh Vasudevan (you can call me Muks), I'm from Chennai in south India. I'm 21 years old and almost within reach of my undergraduate's degree in mechanical engineering.
After college, I want to pursue my actual interests, which apparently I was late in realizing: linguistics, cultural anthropology, experiment designing and political theory. Since I've been studying engineering for the past 4 years, my hands-on experience in these subjects have been quite limited, so I'm constantly on the lookout for something I can work on.
Apart from that, I've found I have an aptitude for operations research and logistics; I can also work with .NET, Visual Basic and Oracle 11h to create content management systems for work places. I've worked with a leading financial daily in India - The Economic Times - as well as have had articles published with other regional newspapers.
If you visit my profile, you'll find the link to my blog, where I've been writing for the past 2 years on (mostly) philosophy, epistemology, politics and ethical issues. I'm also working on a novel right now, which I hope I will get to publish within the next 2 years.
If you wanna know something more, I hate dogs. Don't ask me why.
My job entailed me to supervise the docking and customs clearance of container vessels in Dubai's massive Jebel Ali port, the destuffing of goods, and the documentation procedures. It was mostly a quality-control-oriented task.
I was one of ET's financial reporters, entrusted with covering the announcements and press conferences of banking institutions around the city of Chennai.
