Monica Carol Evans Is anyone interested in http://www.scriptfrenzy.org/? It's where you write a script instead of a novel. I never finished my novel, but I love the creative exercise.

Script Frenzy sounds like it is mostly ALL dialogue (well, and some blocking) so I've been thinking about giving it a try...

Sabera (Kapasi) Photographer My husband recently got into an Executive MBA program and wants to thank the people who wrote recommendations for him (which were part of his application). These people were / are bosses and significant colleagues. Since this is an executive program, he will continue to work with these people for a long time. I know a handwritten note is a must. We also wanted to add a gift card. Any suggestions on the amt for the gift card? What's the best etiquette for showing thanks in this case?

108 weeks ago from Ask Penelope Trunk!

Monica Carol Evans: I agree with the other commenters. The gift card ideas sounds like bribery. Not a good idea.

Monica Carol Evans Hi Everyone, for those of you who are interested there is a Young Non-Profit Professionals Meetup happening tonight at the Hudson Grille near Oglethorpe and the Brookhaven Marta Station. Message me if you want more details.

Monica Carol Evans So I NaNoWriMo FAILED last night at 38,000 words. I took about a week off mid-month and never got my mojo back. Fortunately, I wrote more in November than I ever have in my LIFE and am happy that I have (hopefully) kickstarted a writing habit that I can take with me into December and beyond. And I can't wait to finish this novel and start the edit process :-)

Akhila Kolisetty I'm applying for paralegal positions with the USDOJ for after graduation. I'm a senior - do you know of any other good opportunities to work with the government on entry-level jobs? I'm interested in law & international development. However, I don't want to join the foreign service. Suggestions? Thanks!

: Which agencies are getting rid of KSAs? That is fantastic news.

Monica Carol Evans Ok, so we should be writing about 1600 words a day to stay on track. I did not have a strong start yesterday. I only wrote about 1000 words. All dialogue even though I promised myself I'd be more descriptive! And it was hard. How do you write without forcing it?

Set a timer for 10, 15 minutes, and do your best to write straight through until the timer stops. Then go take a break! Keep doing it until you've got 1667 words. If you're feeling up to it you can set a longer timer, but short periods are less scary a commitment.

blake hall I actually read "No Plot? No Problem!" in prep last year... It has some really great, practical advice for how to have a successful month (not that I'd know :P). Hopefully this year I'll be able to hit the mark.

Alan Koskelin How can an INTP sell themselves as "the architect of ideas and systems [and] edifices"? Too often that's heard as "won't get anything done."

If you help companies by being an "architect of ideas" you should have examples of projects you've worked on. If you're an entrepreneur trying to sell your architect services you should have customer referrals and case studies of how you created value. Once you have that there shouldn't be any worries that you won't get anything done.

Someone to handle the day-to-day business and probably be the face of the company. My comfort lies in being the 'thinker' and thinking up new solutions to problems. I don't know how many domain names I've bought only for them to go unused. I get the idea, then I just fall out of love with it. For instance, I'd like to start a tech blog, but didn't feel like I could come up with enough regular content for it to be worthwhile. So I dropped it.
