As a long-term strategist who thrives on data and input to make decisions, I'm beginning to see why I need my own "recycle bin." From time to time, I have to throw out (either mentally or physically) what isn't working or blocking me from moving forward. An example of this is the realization I came to last year. So many advocates were pushing a "writer's platform." I spent a lot of time cultivating one, only to realize that it's no replacement for good, solid readers.

You can be creative with your fiction e-books! I published one of the first enhanced e-books entitled "The Queen Of Crows" back in March. Featured on Suvudu.com, this e-book experiment worked for me because I collaborated with other talented people like James Semple, a movie composer who helped me out with the book trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMZ2NFd_YXE The lesson I learned, is that you don't have to "go it alone" in order to create something brilliant. Just look around you.
