About Me

Monica received a bachelor's degree in Philosophy in 2003 from Salem College, (yes, a Women's College) and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Between degrees, Monica's interest in public service has led her to try out a variety of careers from bartending to teaching to aerobics instruction to volunteer recruitment.

Monica's current professional interests include commercial and residential urban development, small business development, social equity, local politics, party planning, human motivation and diversity issues. Monica is trying to roll her many interests into one (or more) creative and dynamic entrepreneurial endeavor(s).

For fun, Monica cooks, laughs at/with her friends and family, blogs, writes short stories, reads incessantly, watches movies and enjoys being gay around town with her girlfriend. If Monica did not have to work for a living, she would probably be traveling the world learning languages in warm climates and/or studying for her PhD in Religion.
