I'm sure you can turn that into something on your res: definitely retail, customer service, right? I like to emphasize customer service because it applies to almost any organization. (I have many early years of food industry exp!) Best of luck, and hang in there!

Siblee It's true everything has to be perfect Neeraj. If I submit a lot of application how will I know if it had reached? Ever since I graduated high school I've been submitting application everywhere no response from anyone. I have never worked for any one b/c I worked with my father in an electronic store and I have little experience. Any suggestion from any of you guys would be ok. Thanks

The next step is to find a way to market your experience--whatever it is!

I just finished writing a resume for a friend who's resume is limited to one company and I helped him profile relevant class projects to pitch as experience.

So, brainstorm about what you might have done which looks like the experience your potential employer wants (side projects, language acquisition, volunteer-work, school projects).

But face to face, person to person is by far the best way to network for a job. I lead a group at a Jobs! Ministry where we teach networking and marketing yourself. So if you want more advice, please contact me and i'll do my best to give you more ideas. Good luck!

Siblee thank you so much for your advice Jeremiah. I am currently working in an electronic store with my father. I do have some experience but, since the business is slow I'm looking for a part time job also. One Problem is that I forget things very quickly any advice. Thank you for your time looking at my post.

My experience has been that people will rather wait for you to get it right the first time than having to repeat themselves later. Use whatever too that is available; whether it's post-it notes on the cash register or notes in a cell phone. The Notes and Calendar features of Outlook are a life saver for me.

They are there for a reason. :)

You must be able to demonstrate the capability of doing the job with past experiences.

small businesses/non-profits are more likely to take the chance on a less experienced applicate.

getting a job as a clerk/mail-deliverer is an easy way to get a foot in the door to larger companies. However, you must excel at building relationships with your co-workers so they will be willing to put you in a better job position
