Cary Thomson Hi All This will probably seem like it has a incredibly obvious answer but is it essential or even advantageous to speak French to work in Toronto? Right now there's a chance we could move there if the other half gets into school at U of T and being from Scotland I have no experience of Toronto culture. Thanks

However if you're looking for work in Government, it helps. And if you're on the West Coast, languages like Punjabi and Mandarin can give you a leg up :)
