Part of my leadership program involves reading books. The last book we read was "Tribes" by Seth Godin. I really like what this guy has to say and have been inspired to lead a Seth Godin Book Club starting Jan. 2011. We will read and discuss one of his books a month for the duration of the year. I wanted to send the first invitation to my Brazen Family to both join and help shape what it will look like. You in?

I guess I have to own up to it; I can write. I've been fighting it because I thought I wasn't any good at it (back in college). The other day I went to an event, did a recap (with my flair), sent it in and now a corporate entity wants me to blog for them. Ambassador Bruny, officially a blogger? Moral of the story: Let go of your old story and own your greatness....anyone need anything written :)

I figured fear out. Fear goes to bed really early and gets up late. What does it mean to us? While fear is sleeping early, make your plans; while fear is sleeping late, get up and do something before he gets int he way (get a least 1 thing done a day that scares you before you can think about it). Run the Point; from where you are, with what you have!

Sometimes you don't need a reason at all to connect with people except to connect. I had an unbelievable conversation with a designer, entrepreneur friend that just blew me out of the water. Stay connected people...just because you never know what magic will happen when you bring people together. ~Your Ambassador, Mike Bruny

Why fight it? I run into so many people who are fighting stuff. In the workplace it's us vs. them (doesn't matter if you are the manager or the subordinate). Know what you want and work on making that a reality. Bring what you love to do to the office and find a way to incorporate. "Yes," that may mean you are staying late to run a group on knitting. Hey, if it's what you love, then spread it.

At some point my senior year in college (years ago) I realized that the point of my liberal arts education wasn't my major, but Learning to Learn. There were a few key things I walked away with as must learns: Write, Speak Well, Network, repeat...As a senior I went back and took the most basic english class because I didn't remember any of the stuff I was taught growing up.

Just 10pgs a day. If we read 10pgs a day we could finish a 300pg book a month. If knowledge is the key, then show me the lock.
