Donna Fenn Here's something that I know many business owners, especially new ones and (for reasons I don't quite understand!) particularly women, struggle with: how do you know what to charge for your product or service? I'm dealing with this personally now because as the world of journalism shifts to online content, I'm puzzled about what to charge for my services, especially when everyone seems to want free content. Let's hear some general advice on pricing!

Especially if you're selling in person, you can always negotiate a lower price. We first priced our product to attract people by being cheap. But we found customers took us more seriously with a higher price and kept raising each meeting based on feedback. Of course it depends on your product or service, but don't leave money on the table by undervaluing your product!

Thx for sharing this.

It is too bad there isn't a standardized format for analytics data. If there were one, a platform with open APIs could create a really fascinating application ecosystem.

Rebecca Thorman How can you use the entrepreneurial path in your current position to help set you up for future success? In other words, what are some entrepreneurial-related actions you should be taking even if you don't own your own business?

It's often so much more difficult to manage a process - or people! - than most employees think. We can all do better, but a great first step is to try it on a small scale before you throw it all out there.

Scott - Preaching to the choir on that one! ;) Thinking of myself as a business versus an employee has opened many doors for me. I know it's not cool to like personal branding anymore, but I still think it's quite valuable.
