About Me

I am a young professional living in Brevard County, Florida. I currently work for a NASA contractor supporting the fading Constellation Program as a Project Manager. Although we are in a constant state of worry due to the budget restraints being placed on NASA, this position has been extremely valuable for me. I have had the opportunity to complete my M.A. in Management and Leadership, start my M.B.A., and become a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

If I continue in the space industry, my ultimate goal would be to obtain a job with NASA (as a civil servant) in the public relations area. I have been around NASA most of my life due to family members being employed with them and have always felt they are missing something in promoting their work. I want to be a part of a team that helps educate the public about the immense contributions this organization makes to our world.

On another front, I have recently helped establish a business, HyperSolutions Personal and Professional Development Services, Inc. My mother is actually the Owner and primary consultant and I was "recruited" to be the Director of Marketing and Young Professional Consultant. It has been very exciting starting a business and I look forward to helping it grow in the near future.

When I am not working I am involved in several non-profit organizations. I am an Kappa Delta alumni and support my local alumnae association. In addition, I am a member of a NPC alumnae group called Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic, which provides annual scholarships to young women from Brevard County attending a Florida university or college. After several years on the executive board I am "stepping back" and taking on the challenge of Ways & Means. This means I am the fundraising "guru" and will run the fundraiser for next year's scholarships.

Finally, I am an animal lover! Currently, we have a domestic skunk. Yes, I said skunk. He was descented as a little baby, so no smell. Finster is like a child to me (yes, I am one of those) and I often find myself comparing him to other people's children when they tell stories about them, which they don't always like. Other pets include a Burmese python (Sid) and a box turtle (Ed).

• Project lead on several large, complex projects in support of the NASA Constellation Ground Systems Program. Provide NASA Senior Project Manager with support in the development of project scope, short- and long-term budget planning, project schedules, and project risks, as well as support in measuring the completion and closure of numerous multi-million dollar and multi-year project.
