I've entered into the career change stage of my life! I recently graduated in a Master of Media Practice at the University of Sydney and want a career in media relations/communications in either a not-for-profit or entertainment sectors.
I'm currently the Research Support Officer at the University of Sydney Medical School. Through my current position, I have had the opportunity to learn a number of new skills like website maintenance through CMS, manage an undergraduate scholarship program and organise events for our department.
Why do I want a career change? I want a job that I'm passionate about and challenges me. I love music and I have strong passion in humanitarian issues. I strongly believe that securing a position in one of these industries would increase my happiness!
In addition to the career change, I'm also ready for the location change. I have my eyes set on New York City, I am fortunate that as an Australian citizen, I am eligible for the E-3 visa, and I'm wanting to take advantage of it!
