• Provide communications and outreach support to the NDP Leader and Caucus and assist in the performance of other duties within the Caucus Office.

  •Establish and maintain relations with print and broadcast media representatives, including updating and developing province-wide media contact lists.

  •Prepare and distribute news releases and media advisories.

  •Organize news conferences and other media-related events.

  •Scan media coverage and prepare internal daily report.

  •Respond to media requests in coordination with the Leader and Caucus.

  •Coordinate website maintenance.

  •Liaise with organizations across the province to identify positions, key messages and audiences for outreach activities for the Leader and Caucus, including touring and travel within the province.

  •Assist in preparation of speaking materials for Provincial Affairs and other media broadcasts and speeches as required.

• Produce VOCM Nightline with Linda Swain for 5, three to four hour episodes each week.
  Produced all on air show content and ensured the show operated on schedule to meet contractual and network obligations. Supported the host in show preparation and scheduling of caller and in-studio guests. Duties required up to date knowledge of current news and events in order to provide suggestions to the host on which callers/guests would be best for the evening’s show. Worked in a fast paced environment where multi-tasking and quick thinking are essential.
