Karla Mercado What song can you listen to over and over again for the rest of your life without ever getting tired of it and why?

TOP IDEA: Karla Mercado Frank Lloyd Wright once said, "Space is the breath of art." Creativity constantly reminds me to appreciate the beauty that we, as mere human beings, are able to cultivate from the nothingness of space.

TOP IDEA: Karla Mercado Quality of life, health, and fitness need not be in the form of diets and extreme work out regimens or even abstaining from the occasional slob kabob central. Quality of life comes from accepting certain facts about your mortality but seeing this as an opportunity to give yourself a break.

Ryan Paugh I'm going to an 80s party tomorrow night (who doesn't love a good 80s party?) and I need to find a costume. I want to go as an 80s rock legend. Any ideas? I'm running out of time ...

84 weeks ago from Music and genXconnect members

Doug Mitchell: As someone who was "around" in the 80's, I find it very funny the decade has become costume. I'd go in a DEVO yellow jumpsuit and laboratory goggles.

I actually think I hit the ragstock a little too close to Halloween so a lot of the usual goodness was already gone. What I ended up with is more or less Sammy Hagar or the lead singer from Whitesnake. Big, poof blonde hair. Tight, leather pants. Raggy, white tee with the sleeves cut off and an angel wing on the back. It's pretty good stuff actually ... can't wait for this party!

Karla Mercado Bananas were on sale, so I had to hoard them of course, though I know for sure I wasn't going to be able to keep pace with its ripening. So for the borderline overripe banana leftovers, I made this awesome banana walnut bread. http://bit.ly/aPzWU6

87 weeks ago from I Love to Cook!

Christopher Olson: Since you are only using them for baking, you can freeze the over ripened bananas for later use, too. Just in a ziplock bag is fine.

If you've got a bunch of bananas and you think that they might ripen faster than you can consume them, take the bunch apart. Apparently separating the bananas slows down the ripening process....Interesting eh?

Karla Mercado My life is one huge map of goals and aspirations, and I'm always out there to get to them, to arrive at the spot where I want to be, to become a pilgrim of my own life. And upon each arrival, each fulfilled goal, I always feel as if I just came home, stepped in a nice, hot shower, had supper, pulled the sheets over and went fast asleep.

Karla Mercado I picked out this easy access comfort food recipe recently and gave it a try with a few modifications. It's the most dangerous chocolate cake, the 5-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake. http://bit.ly/aZukC1

I put chocolate syrup on top instead, but the chocolate chips do get melted and the cake cooked all the way through. Do send me your gluten-free modification--I'd love to try that as well!

@John: I hope this meets her standards! This is just a simple cake, so nothing too glamorous but definitely easy and fun to make!

@Rebecca: It's definitely a delectable little cake ;)

@Chris: I hope it goes well!

Just a warning: careful not to overcook your cake. Sometimes, depending on your microwave, the 3-minute mark might be too much. It'll make your cake real tough.

Debra hallock: Thanks Karla. I will pass on the gluten-free verion to you if I have success.

Karla Mercado I'm heading up to Durango, CO this weekend for Oktoberfest! The history of the event reads, "We are so proud to bring it to Durango, and hope to celebrate with you in the true old-fashioned origination of the ceremony. As Americans typically bastardize every cultural celebration, we will be doing so by introducing a mechanical bull, a bike cruiser giveaway, and some locally brewed delicious, but not-necessarily-German bier." Germany in the Southwest, baby. It should be tons of fun. :)

I for one felt that there were plenty enough of answers, and still a lot of ambiguity left for interpretation. Of special interest to me is that the "burden" was effectively passed to Hurley and a Second (Benjamin Linus). That one happenstance says to me that we still could expect a pairing similar to Jacob and the Man in Black. (Can Benjamin ever be a wholly positive force?)

I also parse carefully the query by Eloise Hawking to Desmond Hume, whether he had to take everyone. Is there indeed a great distinction between those who are left "in the world" and who are brought to the church? My reading says no, that those in the church are brought there to an eternal moment of now so that they are part of Jack's moment of eternity. I read further that not all the people brought to Jack's gathering had died at the same time as Jack, but that Jack is experiencing a moment that is eternity, and that all others can experience their own moment of eternity that allows them all to share the same experience.

(I hope this makes sense to others, perhaps I need to rewrite for clarity, and to edit more as I write.)

Karla Mercado The creators of LOST mentioned earlier that the fans will be at their most annoying this season. I can only imagine. I tried doing a screen shot of Jacob's list of candidates on the cave wall, but if you guys need a more comprehensive analysis, check this out: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Jacob's_candidates It says that Jacob touched both Jin and Sun. What if "Kwon" actually refers to Baby Kwon? And Widmore's about to bring her to the island? Haha, I'm just throwing that out.

Daniel Goyeneche Thoughts on last night's episode? It was probably the best episode so far (maybe 2nd best). Ben is by far the best character...although we saw a softer side of him - will evil/cunning Ben return?

Karla Mercado Helping out my brother look for internship opportunities in an ad agency in the East Coast area. Not expecting to get paid: just wants firsthand exposure to agency work. Thanks guys!

Karla Mercado Great network, Jake! My dad's in the music business as a former disc jockey turned talent manager and producer. It was great growing up in this environment and seeing them create what I think is the best gift known to man: music. I declined taking on the torch though. I'll quote Norah Silverberg here: I love music but if I make it a job I don't think I'd love it as much. I'll leave that to people like you guys and my dad, and I'll just support 100% :-)
