It's the best of both worlds, considering that writing well has become increasingly important in terms of personal branding (linkedin, blogs, brazen careerist!, etc) and statistics represents the quantitative side, proof that you can work numbers. It gives enough flexibility for work options after graduation and can be completed in 4 yrs or less, which is nothing compared to 5 yrs to graduate in engineering/science (what I did).

Olga Garcia Hi travel addicts! As the social media community manager for Goinglobal, I am constantly looking at information for expats and living abroad. What I have yet to find is information about young professional expats. I am curious if anyone here is or was an expat in their young professional career. I would love to hear about your experience and share it on our blog.

Ryan Paugh Do you swear on your blog? Just read an article on NPR (http://n.pr/8Xtpst) about the emotional impact that profanity can have when used by authorities. They mentioned Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz and President Obama as examples. They also mentioned that strategic profanity doesn't work for every personality and that it should be used with discretion. I've dropped an F-bomb or two on my blog. I try not to do it a lot. What about you guys?

Hello Ms. Schembari:
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your impending launch. I looked over your site. Seems like you are ready. I wondered if this is a labor of love or is there a plan to pay yourself? I wondered if you had connected with investors/sponsors to help sustain your company? We all have to start somewhere and you seem to have a very good idea of exactly who you are serving.
Online training (to me, I'm old school) is no substitute for real conversation. Down the road, maybe making yourself available via CoveritLive or Skype video chats would serve a brand building purpose too? And, perhaps sharing your experiences in launching your business with others can do the same. Keep paying it forward.
Congratulations again and the best of luck

I'm saying that you have to acknowledge you have some really great competition in the publishing arena and work to differentiate yourself and distinguish yourself in that market if that is what you want to write about. About social media/branding etc. I agree, they are sprouting up all over the place but IMHO few really great ones have managed to appear-so readers are divided among the many instead of flocking to the few, allowing each writer/blogger his/her piece of the pie.
