Will Marlow Do any of you use Google Buzz? Did you try it and then abandon it? Personally, I have used Google Buzz since the beginning, and I feel like to the Buzz community is very active, much like the folks on Brazen...

I will be disappointed (and surprised) if Google doesn't continue to support Buzz in some form, because commenting/engagement occurs at higher levels on that platform than any other I've encountered. Even though the number of users is difficult to gauge (many people have inactive accounts), those users who spend time there make the experience great.

I don't check it enough to "use" it enough for anything else. It does have humorous stuff on there and the people I follow, like Mashable, are consistent. It is just that I get most of there content elsewhere first.

Monica O'Brien Hello! I'm working on a free product to help people market their products and services digitally. I think the product will be pretty substantial, like a series of hour-long videos or webinars with live Q&A at the end. In other words, lots of value! If digital media marketing is something that interests you, do you mind taking my survey? It's only three questions and takes less than five minutes: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dEpwZ2NRSjBOdHFfQVdsUk90... Thanks!

Kenji Crosland So I just launched goldhat.org, a social donations site which helps content creators promote and make money from their content. I'm a one-man band doing this all by myself. I'd appreciate any ideas on promotion that you might have.

I know that you asked about promotion, so this may be unsolicited, but I think the site would promote itself by making it more open.

I'm sure you thought of this, but why not let anyone submit content and only require verification when someone wants a payout? People are willing to jump through hoops to get money. The biggest problem there is trying to get the content owners to your site.

Maybe let anyone submit content with a guessed contact for the owner so you can email them on their first received payment.

Actually I hadn't thought of the "verification later" idea. One problem I can forsee with this is the complexity of refunds if websites don't get verified...

I agree with you however that the verification process is cumbersome. The advantage to it is that once it's done, it's done. I'm hoping I can get some sort of one-click wordpress plugin that will do all the verification work done without hassle.

Sabera (Kapasi) Photographer Hello peeps. Does anyone know of a good widget for Wordpress blogs, that shows an aggregated stream of tweets by hashtag? I'm coming across a few but wanted your opinion on something you've used.

julie houta Hi, I am trying to dig NING and its various networks to reach out to people interested in various topics, such as food and fashion. However, I find myself overwhelmed with the amount of networks on the platform. Does anyone know how to use Ning efficiently to target audiences and promote an online publication? Thanks a lot for the feedback!

I am a member of different NING networks that has been used for learning but I'm now watching what all the non-profits will do after NING start charging for all the former free accounts.

I would just wait and see what other social platform will benefit from the recent changes at NING.

As Marian says, you may want to wait a few months and see what networks are still around after the transition, but many of them sell ad space, which might work for you. Here's an overview of their new plans starting in July: http://about.ning.com/announcement/?xg_source=www.ning.com

The reason why I am telling everyone about it now is because I've already told enough people about it that I might as well make the site concept public than keep quiet about it.

Sometimes it helps me if immerse myself in other creative stuff, like buzzing through an art gallery or museum or talking to my grandad who is an awesome (and long winded!) story teller. I'm always randomly inspired by something he says without even trying. Hang in there! If all else fails, try wine. ;)
